For me, staying sane as a stressed out mom means staying focused on God. Spending time with God can keep you centered, calm and full of love and grace – most days. Here are some tips and tales from my own personal walk with Jesus. I hope it helps!

Love Your Spouse

Whether you’ve got a spouse, a significant other, or a partner, it sure does help to have some help raising kids. But it’s not just about having help in the trenches of parenthood. Love Yourself

Depending on your circumstances, taking time for yourself can feel completely impossible, but it’s really not. No matter how much or how little help you have, you MUST make time for yourself. Staying sane as a stressed out mom requires you to spend some portion of your time tending to your own needs.

That might mean you have to deprive your kids of a few things you wish you could give them. You know what? They’ll be okay, because they have a mom who is okay and loves them. What good does it do to give your kids the whole world, if you’re also giving them a mom on the brink of total self-destruction?

Take care of yourselves, Mamas. Your babies don’t need a perfect mom, but they do need one who is healthy and whole. That might mean you treat yourself to a pair of jeans that make you feel great, or you might need to carve out some time for a nightly bath tub ritual.

Love Your Home

Guess what stresses me out? A crazy house with dirty floors, handprints on windows, and toys strewn about. I can’t help it. Part of mental health, for me, requires that I keep a decently clean house.

But for all my gals out there who dang near have a panic attack when their house is out of sorts, these posts are for you! I
